San Francisco’s beer week is now in full swing, and there are over 500 events taking place between February 7-16 in honor of the popular beverage. Choosing which participating venues to check out may sound overwhelming—that’s why we’ve curated a list of not-to-be-missed events.
City Beer Store
City Beer Store is offering a different, and amazing, tap takeover every night of Beer Week. They’ll have some rarely-seen varietals, including “Societe, Beachwood BBQ, and Cascade to up-and-coming Sante Adairius and Calicraft to stalwarts like Stone, Dogfish Head, and Firestone Walker offering rare aged options” according to Eater SF. City Beer is a great spot anytime of the year, and caters to lovers of fine beer. Located on 1168 Folsom, their tasting bar is sure to delight your senses Beer Week or otherwise.
Rosamunde Sausage Grill
Rosamunde Sausage Grill, with locations in both Oakland and San Francisco, will be bustling for Beer Week. Make sure you sample some of their delicious grilled sausages while enjoying your craft beer. For the trivia lovers out there, be sure to catch the “Brew-themed” trivia event on Wednesday, February 12th at their Oakland location. You can test your knowledge of all things beer while enjoying their delicious offerings, and you might come home with a prize. If you can’t make it to trivia night, there’s no need to worry--Rosamunde has events every night for the entirety of Beer Week. Be sure to check out the Speakeasy Tap Takeover on Thursday, February 13th.
Noir Lounge
Hayes Valley-based Noir Lounge will also be hosting an event on Wednesday, February 12th. They’re offering a Tap Takeover featuring the Coronado Brewing Company. Admission is free, and if you buy a pint of Coronado, you can keep the glass. Like the above-mentioned locations, Noir Lounge is a great spot to visit anytime of the year, especially for lovers of fines wines and film noir.
Cellarmaker Brewing Company
Cellarmaker is one of the 80 breweries participating in SF Beer Week, and are taking part in a ton of events, including tap takeovers, pairing dinners, and the Opening Celebration. According to their website, they are particularly excited about their event on Tuesday, February 11th, which they’ll be hosting at their 1150 Howard Street tasting room. There will be grilled sausage and an “awesome taplist,” including three cask preparations. This is their first appearance at Beer Week, and their line of tasty originally brews is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
