Beachbody LLC , based in Santa Monica, California, was founded in 1998, and is the creator of the nation’s most popular fitness and weight loss solutions including its world famous P90X®, Insanity®, and Focus T25® workouts and daily dose of dense nutrition Shakeology® product, also known as “The Healthiest Meal of the Day”. A client of Revel iPad POS for over two years, Beachbody also opted to use Revel’s mPOS software for their annual Coach Summit, hosted this year in Las Vegas.
The three day event is hosted annually, and features tips and training from world-renowned industry experts and top Coaches, exciting new product launches, and workouts with Beachbody’s celebrity trainers. It’s a popular event, with close to 10,000 attendees this year, and there’s currently a wait list for Coach Summit 2015. Beachbody needed a dedicated, robust mPOS solution that enabled quick transactions and easy training to accommodate its multitude of coaches, staff, and Coach Summit attendees.
We heard from Revel Account Manager Rob Thomas, who was in Las Vegas helping with the setup. He let us know that Revel was “rockin’ it in Vegas” at the Beachbody event. When we spoke to Rob during the first morning of the event, they had already rung up 1,200 transactions, totaling almost $200,000 in sales.
Even more impressive, however, was the difference Revel venus factor made in terms of lines and wait times. Using Infinea Tab card swipes and Revel’s barcoding feature, Beachbody was able to cut down on wait times by 67%.
Revel iPad POS, in addition to speeding up checkout time, is also quick and easy to learn. Beachbody, along with Revelers Rob and Roland, were able to train 60 temporary staff on how to use Revel in one hour - many of whom had never used Revel or even an iPad before. As Rob noted, “This just shows how intuitive Revel is,” as employees were able to pick up how to add customers to orders and ring up items in a short amount of time. Together, Beachbody and Revel ensured that Coach Summit 2014 was a huge success, and both are looking forward to next year’s event.
